Berk Walters Homes is made up of the husband-wife team of Sue Berk and Brad Walters. Both Sue and Brad have long careers in Fortune 500 companies but when they met, they quickly learned that they shared a love of home building and remodeling. Sue holds a BS from The University of Texas at Austin and worked for several corporations including Texas Instruments, Sprint and Nokia. Tired of the corporate world, she started her own company flipping houses in 1998. She was so successful at it, she appeared on the Discovery Channel Show, Interior Motives, with Christopher Lowell for excellence in renovation. Several years in, Sue started hand making decorative tiles for the backsplashes in her projects. This blossomed into a ceramics and giftware business, Sue Berk Designs, and became so successful, Sue started outsourcing all production to China and her company grew quickly. The home renovation business was put on hold for a few years while Sue Berk Designs flourished. When Sue met Brad, the 2 of them started renovating houses together and in 2014, they expanded from renovations into new construction homes.​

Brad holds a BBA and an MBA from Texas Tech University. He has worked as an SAP consultant for the last 20 years, however, his passion is anything to do with the home: painting, landscaping, designing and building. At the age of 13, he started his own lawn mowing business, quickly gaining customers all over the neighborhood. He also helped his parents in their home renovations from the time he was a little kid.​

Brad and Sue live in Highland Park, TX with their 2 children and 2 cats, and they love entertaining friends in the home they built for themselves.
